Approaching offices with a conscientious proposal that asks critical questions and achieves great results
Acknowledging the devastating effects of climate change, it is the responsibility of all businesses to take action - and fast. Our part is to tackle emissions from product lifecycles head on, which is why every order placed with the Eco-Tender project means offsetting the emissions involved in product lifecycles.
Eco-Tender was created in 2019, as a platform to directly tackle the supply chain industries contribution to the climate crisis.
When it comes to the environment, the supply chain industry has a direct conflict of interest - traditionally, businesses require various goods to function (stationery, I.T, PPE and janitorial products). Sustainable goods however, are unfortunately not as cost effective as they should be, and some may argue whether they are in-fact bettering the environment due to the processes involved in recycling and upcycling them. That’s where we come in.
We take a small percentage of each order placed, then give it back to you.
The funds produced from orders placed with Eco-Tender, are exclusively for externally managed projects that take action against climate change by:
Purchasing and protecting large areas of rainforest with ranger re-enforcement overseas.
Funding small green energy projects (wind, hydro, solar, tidal, tree re-planting) within the UK & overseas.
Funding sustainable tree re-planting projects within the UK & overseas.
These projects are in no way linked to Eco-Tender or part of any in-house 'foundation' or 'organisation' managed by Eco-Tender. Because of this, we are happy to alternatively provide a voucher or credit to any current sustainable projects your business is supporting.
With the additional funding for green projects, each Eco-Tender customer helps offset the emissions that their office purchases create.
The concept considers both the creation and journey that each product we sell undertakes, to get to your door. This typically includes:
- Overseas mining / creation of raw materials
- Manufacture and assembly
- Export / import to the UK
- Distribution to end user
Carbon sequestration projects are technologies designed to reduce the greenhouse effect. Here, we consider these four factors:
-
Technologies to remove carbon from the atmosphere, and store them inside rocks (carbon capture and storage).
-
Technologies to create green energy (hydro, solar, wind, tidal, and biomass).
-
Projects to protect indigenous carbon capture (existing forests).
-
Projects to re-green previously biodiverse lands.
-
Utilise the Eco-Tender initiative for your business supplies, where we will look to either match or beat any current prices you currently pay.
-
Take advantage of a bespoke, fixed-price contract for the core items your business purchases and efficient delivery time frames.
-
Generate Eco-Credits with each order over £50.00 and join our fight against product lifecycle emissions and climate change.
